LOVE LOCK BRIDGE

The Pont des Arts, also called the Love Lock Bridge, is a famous place in Paris. This bridge goes over the River Seine and is near the Louvre Museum. It is a special spot for people in love.

For many years, couples came to the Pont des Arts to attach a lock to the bridge. They would write their names or initials on the lock, clip it to the bridge, and throw the key into the river. This was a way to show their love will last forever.

The bridge was covered with thousands of locks. It became a beautiful sight and a symbol of love. People from all over the world visited the bridge to add their love locks.

In 2015, the city had to remove the locks because they were too heavy and could damage the bridge. Now, you can’t put locks on the Pont des Arts, but it is still a romantic place to visit.

The Pont des Arts is a pedestrian bridge, which means only people can walk on it, not cars. It is a great place to take a walk, enjoy the view of the river, and see the beautiful buildings around.

To get to the Pont des Arts, you can take the metro to the Louvre-Rivoli or Pont Neuf stations. It is a short walk from there. The bridge is free to visit and open all the time.

Even though you can’t put a lock on the bridge anymore, the Pont des Arts is still a lovely place to visit. It is a reminder of the love stories from all over the world that have been shared in Paris.
